SAN DIEGO (July 29, 2017) The crew of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Rafael Peralta (DDG 115) mans the ship and brings her to life during the ship’s commissioning ceremony onboard Naval Air Station North Island in San Diego. Rafael Peralta honors Marine Corps Sgt. Rafael Peralta, who was posthumously awarded the Navy Cross for actions during combat operations in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
