A group of weaver ants coordinate their efforts to apply a strong death grip on a live Tiger Beetle.

The tiger beetle is a highly mobile ground predator. However, when it accidentally landed in the middle of a group of weaver ants, the ants instinctively used their mandibles to hold onto the various parts of the beetle, rendering it immobile. The ants and their unlikely catch stayed in this position for a long time. The suffering beetle would twitch every few seconds but resistance was futile.
