Ras Al Khaimah, is the most northerly of the seven emirates which make up the United Arab Emirates and is the fourth largest in terms of area and population among the emirates. Located at the entrance to the Arabian Gulf, Ras Al Khaimah is rich in natural resources, raw materials and agricultural land. It has developed major industries in quarrying rock, cement, ceramics and pharmaceuticals. The emirate has a rich history stretching back more than 7,000 years.
