Second.— Seasons that effect some grasses ad- versely are favorable to other sorts, so that with mixtures a failure is practically impossible, provided of course, the seed is good. We take great pains in selecting grass seeds in order to secure the highest germination, and mixtures are based on a full appreciation of the require- ments of different soils for which they are in- tended.
