Illustration of the journey made spermatozoa in the male reproductive system. Spermatozoa are made in the testicles, and stored and end their maturation in the epididymis. At the moment of ejaculation, sperm travel along the vas deferens to the prostate. At the same time, seminal vesicles produce seminal liquid which mixes with prostate secretions to form sperm. The Cowper gland secretes a pre-ejaculatory liquid, then the sperm travels along the urethra before being ejected by ejaculation.
