Glienicke Bridge across Havel River,half-timbered bridge with suspended steel structure with sculptures by sculptor Stephan Walter on bridge connects Berlin Wannsee and Potsdam,Brandenburg. Designed by the Johann Caspar Harkort Company and named after nearby Glienicke Palace, it is the fourth bridge on this site. It is a famous monument of the Cold War up to the fall of the Berlin Wall as it was used as a point of exchange for secret agents of both political systems who had been taken prisoner. It is a popular backdrop for makers of films and commercials.
