Planted in the centers of beds or mixed borders, its ma- jestic and graceful appearance renders it a most effective and striking object. Pkt. Elegans, red; 3 ft., 15 LANTANA. A remarkably handsome, free-flowering genus of plants with brilliantly colored flowers, constantly changing in hue ; very effective, either for pot culture or for bedding. Pkt. Finest varieties mixed 15 A charming, profuse-flowering plant, indis- pensable for Winter and Spring decoration in the conservatory or sitting-room. The seed we offer has been saved from flowers remarkable for their size, color, and perfect form, and is of unsurpassed quality. Sow either in February or August, in boxes of light rich soil, covering the seeds lightly with a little damp moss. Let them stand in a cool moist place for four or five weeks, then place in frame with bottom heat. ^Yhen the plants put on two leaves, transplant into pots, and repeat this operation as the plants grow larger. Pkt. Chinensis, best mixed (not fringed\ all colors, . .25 — fimbriata (fringed) the most superb varieties, mixed, 50 VINCA VPeriwinkle). A class of very pretty, free-flowering Per- i ennials, with shining green foliage and beautiful ! flowers. May be set out in the garden in a j warm situation during the Summer and Autumn I months.
