Robert Briones, 62nd Aircraft Maintenance Unit crew chief, and Airman 1st Class Todd Combe, 61st AMU crew chief, inspect an outer mold line on the wing of an F-35A Lightning II aircraft June 4, 2021, at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona. Maintenance Airmen conduct OML inspections to track any exterior damage on the aircraft before and after flight; the OML inspection is one of the techniques taught within the Lightning Technician Program. The efforts of LTP cost-effectively modernizes Luke’s F-35 maintenance operations as a whole by creating multi-capable Airmen.
