A late 19th century view of the Treaty Stone located on the Clare end of Thomond Bridge crossing the River Shannon in Limerick City, Ireland. According to tradition the Treaty of Limerick was signed on the stone after the 1691 war between William of Orange and James II. The stone has rested on a pedestal erected in May 1865 by John Richard Tinsley, mayor of the city.
