Settle down in a comfortable leather armchair by the fire or relax in the smoking room upstairs, sipping on cocktails. At weekends, get swept along by foot-tapping jazz sessions in the basement. The restaurant's Chinese cuisine is complemented by the colonial decor, which provides the perfect surroundings for a special dinner with friends or romantic dinner for two. Try the house-speciality shrimp ravioli soup. Evoking 1930s Hong Kong, this favorite is still going strong, laughing at upstart new Asian restaurants, and serving some of the best Asian cuisine in Paris. The food is mainly Cantonese, prepared with flair. The menu is vast, with plenty of choices. Nearly everything is good, especially sautéed shrimp and calamari, Shanghai chicken, and red rice sautéed with vegetables.
