A boathouse nestles on Derwent Isle, an island as its name implies on Derwentwater, Keswick, in the English Lake District. The island covers some 7 acres and is owned by the National Trust. The house on the island is also owned by the trust and is private tenanted as a private home. However it is open to the public 5 days in the year. The house and boathouse date fromthe late 1700s.
