Top of The Arch of Triumph at dusk, Bucharest, Romania, Europe, EU

The Arch of Triumph detail, close-up structure (Arcul de Triumf or Triumphal Arch in Romanian), was built in 1935, modeled on the Arc de Triumph in Paris to commemorate the victory in WWI and was designed by the Romanian architect Petre Antonescu with carvings by well known Romanian sculptors Ion Jalea, Comeliu Medrea and Constantin Baraschi. It replaced a wooden arch that was formerly erected in 1922 and it become one of Bucharest important landmarks, a spot for army parades on national holidays and Romanian favorites place for commemorative wedding photos
