Meningioma brain cancer. Coloured axial magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan through the head and brain of a 57-year-old woman with a brain lesion thought to be a meningioma cancer (pink, left of centre). The brain lesion is affecting the right cerebellopontine angle and the fourth ventricle, and invading the right internal auditory canal. It is thought to be the cause of the patient's symptoms, which include hearing impairment and dizziness. A meningioma is a cancer of the meninges, the brain membranes. This is a T2-weighted MRI scan with gadolinium injection.
