Apollo 11 astronauts with President Richard Nixon (far right) at the end of their Global Goodwill Tour. Apollo 11 was the first lunar mission to land an astronaut on the surface of the Moon. Apollo 11 carried astronauts Neil Armstrong, Edwin \Buzz\" Aldrin and Michael Collins to the Moon in July 1969. On their return they toured 27 world cities in 45 days to spread the message that the USA was willing to share its space knowledge. Photographed on 5 November 1969."
