The building fever which has prevailed in the west end of Paris for the past few years, says Galignani, has ended as was to be expected, in a crisis in the building trade. Hundreds of houses have been reared in the richer quarters of the town. Many of them, completed in some cases two years ago, are still without a single occupant. Others, again, have been left unfin- ished.
