ALMA (Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array) is an array of radio telescopes being constructed 5,000 meters above sea-level in the Atacama Desert of the Chilean Andes. When finished it will be the World's most advanced radio astronomy observatory (as of 2010).
