Head and thorax brown and fuscous ; back of head with t's\ o orange spots; metathorax with two whitish spots ; coxae pale crimson; abdomen crimson, the first four segments with dorsal brown patches decreasing in size, the terminal segment black ; lateral black fasciae ; the ventral surface pale crimson ; the last three segments blackish. Fore wing grey-brown, the basal area with two series of spots below costa and streaks above and below vein 1 ; an antemedial maculate line angled on vein 1; a round spot in cell; two spots in end of cell, and a series beyond it, becoming short streaks between veins 5 and 3, then sharply bent inwards to origin of vein 2; two small spots beyond the cell above veins 5 and G: a postmedial series of wedge- shaped marks reduced to spots between veins 3 and 5 ; a subterminal series of spots, the one at toruus large, and a terminal series of points on the veins. Hind wing fuscous black, the interspaces in, below, and beyond end of cell semihyaline. Underside of fore wing with whitish spot in upper angle of cell, two beyond the angle, and tAvo nearer termen between veins 3 and 5. Hind wing with veins 3, 4, 5 from angle.
