This met al is the outcome of20 years of study and research workmade by Mr. Harris to perfect a babbittmetal that the hardwaremen could sellwith all confidence, one that would givehis customer every satisfaction. It runscool on any speed, and,it comes in cakes,copper-covered, with an impression ofthe inventor of the metal stamped oneach cake. Solder was also a feature of the ex-hibit, the showing including bar solder,. W. G. HARRIS, SENIOR. wire solder, and block solder. The com-pany makes solder for every purpose, putting it out in suitable sizes. Therewas as well to be seen ingot copper, in-got tin, bar tin, antimony, spelter, andvarious kinds of newspaper metal—lino-type, monotype, typograph and mono-line, ij | The company are large manufacturesof lead pipe, traps and bends, in allsizes and had many samples of their pro-duct on view. The company also showedtheir non-syphon cast trap, which liasmany advantages over other traps, theprincipal one being that it cannpt besyphoned; One of the most interesting-things shown was lead woo!,, an exceed°-ingly fine lead used for calking joints. Recently the company erected a newsmelter opposite the Exhibition Groundsfor smelting all drosses and ores. Thishas been of great assistance, and beforelong they will have two additional build-ings, which will greatly facilitate the ex-tension of their busi
