In 1853, 011 account of ill health, he removed to , where he established the first dental depot west of theMississippi river. He assisted in the organization of the Mis-souri State Dental Association and of the Missouri DentalCollege, and became a publisher and editor of The AmericanDental Review, the first dental journal ever published west ofthe Mississippi river. He contributed a number of papers ofmerit on Metallurgy and Mechanical Dentistry.
