A sabre M 1858 for petty officers and sergeants, of the navy. Slightly curved single-edged blade with maker's mark struck on the ricasso. Brass knuckle-bow hilt with two side bars. Cyrillic maker's mark " Semenov St. Petersburg" (rare), "I" and "14" stamped on the knuckle-bow. Leather-covered grip. Black leather scabbard (signs of age) with brass fittings. Length cm. Cf. A.
