The section ofthe bed behind the lower head swingsdown out of the way to give access tothe head. All adjustments of springposts, side heads, etc., are made byhand wheels and locked in positionwith lever nuts. The cutter heads areof crucible steel, four sided and slot-ted on each side. The upper head hasadjustable, detachable outside bearingwith an upright column extending fromthe floor. The lower head has verticaland lateral adjustments.
