Y., he has been employed in the testingdepartment; the engineering department,where he was occupied with the design ofdirect-current motors; in the transformer. P. D. Wagoner department at Schenectady, again being em-ployed on transformers, both multiple andconstant current, for series alternating arclighting, from 1899 to 1901, when he was ap-pointed manager of transformer sales, whichposition he now holds. His work includesthe handling of the commercial questions in-volved in the sale of all transformers manu-factured by the General Electric Co. The graduating thesis of Messrs. Wagoner,E. L. Decker, and O. A. Pope, on The Plantof the Cataract Construction Co., at NiagaraFalls, N. Y., was published in the StevensIndicator, XIV, 20. Mr. Wagoner read apaper on The Series Incandescent Light-ing System of the Future before the North-western Electric Light Association at itsconvention held in Milwaukee, Wis., Janu-ary 15-17, 1901. The paper was reprintedor abstracted in many technical journals,and published in pamphlet form by the Gen-eral Electric Co., the latter being now in itssecond edition.
