Niednagel has his houses in good shape and will soon be cutting from ^illamey again. He is cutting Beauties of good quality from old stock cut back. J. C. Elspermann is doing a nice business every day. Mr. and Mrs. Elspermann are on their vacation and will visit in Terre Haute and Chicago. Miss Nellie Goodge and others who suffered from the hail anH wind storm last month have about finished repair- ing the damage. Paul Halbrooks, of Newark, O., is visiting his parents and friends here. He came down in his automobile. E. L. F. NEWPORT, E. I. One of the finest exhibits of orchids in window display ever seen here is being made by Gibson Bros. The agitation for Sunday closing finds little favor among the retail flo- rists, who find the demands that day exceed those of any other day of the week. W. H. M.
