Richard Rush
Richard Rush, an American statesman who in 1817 negotiated the Rush-Bagot Agreement with Great Britain, providing for disarmament on the Great Lakes after the War of 1812. He served as attorney general of Pennsylvania (1811), attorney general of the United States (1814-17), and secretary of the treasury (1825-29).
