1st August 2021. Castle Rising, Norfolk, UK. Soldiers Through the Ages event at Castle Rising, the first public event at the 12th Century castle since before the Covid pandemic outbreak. Chris Page in full 1st Battalion Kings Royal rifle Corps uniform and armed with a MKI (1941), in honour of his late father who served with the battalion during the Second World War.


Chris Page: 'My Father joined up in 1938 for the 1st Battalion Kings Royal rifle Corps in London after a period of training he was sent to Burma to sort out a uprising so as ww2 happened he was sent out to Egypt to fight against the Germans and Italian's he spent a total of 5 years and 218 days there, fighting in some of the fearsome battles my father was very fortunate in many ways. He was a Number one Bren Gunner that's the reason why i have a Bren it's a Mk1 1941 one of the best weapons for the troops.' For more information see Chris's website
