Rydal Hall, and gardens, Rydal Village, Ambleside, Lake District National Park, Cumbria, England, UK. A 16th century mansion the former home of the Le Fleming Family, showing the Victorian South Range. At present owned by the Diocese of Carlisle as a conference centre, and retreat. Its formal gardens, with geometric flower beds, and rolling woodland were designed in 1909 by Thomas Mawson.
