The unpaved road to Raspberry Creek, the starting point for the popular Rob Roy Glacier Walk near Wanaka, New Zealand
From Wanaka on New Zealands South Island, it is 54KM to the Raspberry Creek car park in the West Matukituki Valley. The last 30km is an unsealed track. The final 10K is a fine weather road only and subject to washouts and flooded creeks which can make the road impassable The West Matukituki Valley has several enjoyable day walks, a highlight is the popular Rob Roy Glacier Walk which starts at the Raspberry Creek car park. The well made tourist track crosses spectacular swing bridges across the Matukituki River, before heading up the forested valley to the Rob Roy Glacier.
