The X-ray apparatus illustrated in the figure has been in-stalled at the dispensary, navy yard, Mare Island, Cal. Aftermore than six months use it has been demonstrated that theapparatus is economical, practical, and now indispensable. Ithas been operated nearly every day during this period withcomplete success and is exceptionally well adapted for fluoro-scopic examinations, as it requires no tuning up. This isdue to the fact that it has been possible to rectify the currentwithout using an electrolytic rectifier. In therapeutic workit has been run 10 to 15 minutes without overheating any part.
