A Moroccan silver-mounted flintlock pistol, circa 1800, Octagonal to round barrel, smooth-bore in 16 mm calibre. English acceptance marks struck at the lateral root of the barrel. Slightly engraved lock with flat lock plate and frizzen on rollers, signed "Grice". Maple stock profusely engraved with intricate silver inlays of scrolling leaves and flowers. On the left side of the stock silver hallmark with Arabic inscription. Butt cap and trigger guard of engraved silver, the latter with minor damage. Silver-mounted false ramrod. Length cm.
