When I first saw hernearly a year had elapsed since the occurrence of the appearance at this time was very singular. Firm and densecicatrices nearly surrounded the mouth, but were most marked onthe lower lip, and about the angles; while the orifice of this cavitywas barely large enough to admit the point of the finger, and pre-sented an oval form.
