Informer dajS he did some contracting, and whenthe hotel came into his possession he made valua-ble and expensive improvements, remodeling theentire building, putting in steam heat and gas, andadding two stories. September 18, 1866, Mr. Baker married Mar3M.,daughter of Jacob L. Longenecker, a farmer ofEphrata Township. Four children have been theresult of this union, as follows: Ida, wife of L. , now running the Eagle Hotel; Olivia Anna,Mrs. .Jesse Seldomridge; Sallie, Mrs. Robert Parker,and Jacob.
