Large, bright yellow -with red, best quality. West'n N. Y. Hort. Soc.:' Hardiness in the peach is not well understood. Many varieties are grown commercially that ought not to be: not profitable. As a rule, the Crawford type are not reliable in X. Y. . In Mich, they know more about peaches, and have a line very hardyin bud: Lewis, Gold Drop, Kalamazoo, etc. Crosby is good, am pleased; not more hardy than many others. Fitzgerald, origin Canada, by comparison Avith Hill Ckili and other hardy kinds, stood the test best of all. We must look to the fruit bud.—S. 0. Willard, N. Not so large, nor so hardy in bud, as the new Elberta Cling. MC. Worthy of general cultivation. Yellow, with light to very dark red. Very rich; jui
