A Samnite bronze belt, 4th/3rd century A broad belt with lining holes along the perimeter. The buckle is formed of seven riveted hook closures (two incomplete) in the shape of elongated cicadas. The opposite end has a corresponding set of seven holes arranged in three rows, set in teardrop-shaped bumps. A decorative plate on the side with fine chiselling and remnants of tinning.
