REDESCRIPTION OF ANCHISAURUS CAPENSIS (BROOM) The specimen (SAM-990) is preserved in a soft sandstone matrix (Fig. 1).The bone is generally not well preserved and is inclined to crumble duringpreparation. Much of the specimen (including most of the vertebral column) ispreserved as bone impression, and details of certain of these portions wereobtained from silicone rubber positives.
