Houghton has invested more than $10,000 in his barbecue over the past two years, including his customized trailer, built to be towed across the country for different tournaments. Houghton is a competitive barbecuer and aircraft structural mechanic with the 116th Air Control Wing at Robins Air Force Base, Ga.
