Two red-smocked helpers 'nailing' Jesus to the Cross, Stations of the Cross Procession, San Antonio Street, Santiago, Chile

The Stations of the Cross re-enact the final hours or Passion of Jesus. The re-enactment is a spiritual pilgrimage of prayers, with both participants and onlookers meditating on the chief scenes of Christ's suffering and death. Here, in a Good Friday procession between Santiago's Metropolitan Cathedral and Church of San Francisco, we see Jesus, stripped of garments, being 'nailed' to the Cross.
