Sai Baba appeared in Shirdi as a child around 1838 and lived in the district until 15th October 1918. His name became very popular as a 'God sent Sadhu' because he took care of many health and social problems of people. His teachings are based on 'One God' and 'to live a very simple truthful life'. It is said that his portrait in the wallet, home, or office will provide security and luck.
