Of the new cars, four with singletrucks and 20-ft. closed bodies are for regular city servicein Shawnee. Four twelve-bench open cars, termed parkcars, are used for special service this summer. Three carsfor interurban service are 41 ft. long over vestibule postsand 8 ft. 5 ins. wide over all. The interior of the inter-urban cars is furnished in oak and is divided into two com-partments. Cane seats for forty-four passengers are pro- vided. The cars are heated by Johns-Manville electric heat-ers and are equipped with Parmenter fenders. They aremounted on the St. Louis No. 23-A-E trucks with bases. Cast-iron wheels 33 ins. in diameter and with3-in. tread and i 5-16-in. flanges are employed. The carsare equipped with K-28-B controllers and four G. motors.
