Residents line the streets to watch the parade go by in a celebration of Italian heritage and history in San Francisco. Since 1981, San Francisco Fleet Week has taken place each October, becoming a significant and integral part of the city’s local culture and economy. San Francisco Fleet Week 2018 events will take place through Oct. 8.
