Hopper teaching COBOL computer programming, 1960s. US computer scientist Grace Murray Hopper (1906-1992) was part of the team that developed the first UNIVAC computer in 1951. She also played a key role in developing the programming language COBOL (common business-oriented language). This photograph is from the UNIVAC Division of the Sperry Rand Corporation.
