About thirty florists and horticul-turists comprised the party that visitedFred L. Harris, at Wellesley, on Turs-day, .September 8. They were met atthe depot by Mr. Harris, Jr., and con-veyed to the estate in barges. This vastestate of over 1,000 acres is a sight wellworth seeing at any time. The world-renowned Italian garden was at its best. After a thorough inspection ot theplace the host took charge of the partyand proceeded to Baileys Hotel, , where an excellent dinner wasserved. On the way the younger pleasingly entertained the partywith selections on the cornet, whileElijah A. Wood contributed vocal selec-tions. After dinner speeches were made, al-most everyone in the party being calledupon ; and Mr. Harris was paid tribut
