12th century romanesque church, Església de Santa Maria. The clifftop village of Siurana, in the municipality of the Cornudella de Montsant in the comarca of Priorat, Tarragona, Catalonia, Spain. It was reportedly the last Muslim enclave to fall to the Christians in Catalonia. View of the portal. In the center ois the image of Christ crucified, with the Sun and Moon, floral representations and two lions on top. Flanking the foot of the cross are two groups of four apostles under semicircular arches. The inscription above indicates five: Saint Philip, Saint Andrew, Saint Paul, Saint James and Saint Thomas.
