Two women belonging to the Agaw people. The woman behind is showing the food they eat ( leftovers given by restaurants)

Originally, the Agaw are farmers living in different parts of the Ethiopian highlands. These two women are hailing from the Sekota region. Because of the drought, they have left their house to come to Mekele ( the capital of the Tigray state) for doing menial jobs or begging. Despite being orthodox christians, Agaw who have migrated to Mekele are despised by the local population ( mainly orthodox christians) because they are very poor, illiterate and dirty.
