Washington Square at the rear of City Hall, along Market Street between City Hall and the former Municipal Courts building, between Tucker (Twelfth) and Thirteenth Street. The Municipal Courts Building was built in 1911, by Isaac Taylor. Taylor, a famous St. Louis architect, was the chief architect for the Louisiana Purchase Exposition in 1904, and also designed the Jefferson Memorial, the home of the Missouri History Museum.
