The John Logan Memorial Statue in Chicago's Grant Park. Logan was an American Civil War general from Illinois that has been a long time park landmark. In the background towering over the scene is the Essex on the Park, a 56-story residential building on South Michigan Avenue in Chicago. The building has both luxury apartments and condominiums, many that provide views of the city lakefront and Lake Michigan as well as the city skyline. At far right is a portion of the Hilton Hotel and Towers. Both structures are located on South Michigan Avenue just southeast of the Loop.
