Rockport is on every traveler's "to do" list. It's a small colorful town located just north of Boston, Mass. Many fishermen made their living here but it has been transformed into a visitor's paradise. Many unique shops and galleries here. Seafood is big here right off the wharf. You'll see Motif One here an old red fishing shack that is photographed endlessly. Has a history as a granite quarry town . In 1830's the first granite quarries were developed, and granite from Rockport was shipped up and down the east coast by different cities and towns. Halibut State Park is a memory with it's quarry, that is located on the ocean's edge. There is also a thriving artist colony here, along with Sandy Beach for sunbathers is here and it's inner harbor. Parking is limited so arrive early.
