It is difficult toexplain how the Trojansproduced such Giuliano thinkswith Mr. Landerer thatthe gold plate was laidon a block of lead andthe ornamentation ham-mered or pressed intoit. In the treasure wasalso the gold breast or-nament No. 905, whichis 18 in. long. Theupper part, in the formof a basket, is 1*8 and 1^ in. broad;it consists of twenty-five gold wires, whichwere beaten flat, sol-dered together, bentover, and joined bymeans of a small goldplate, 012 in. broad,and of two gold pins;to the upper borderwere soldered two goldhooks, 2^ in. long.
