M. Chaney, at the annual pre- harvest meeting of New England Cranberry Sales Company, Carver, Sept. 4th (highlights of which were sketched in briefly in last month's issue), said it was unfortunately true that some inferior quality among this was adversely affecting the produce market. This slacken- ing of quality had been going on during the war. "Cranberry grow- ers, as a whole, did not slack the quality of their pack", he said, "not even during the heavy war demand. We were outstanding in that, and I think that is going to bring you dividends this fall".
