If the ores were shipped to Keyser wherethey would be brought nearer the coke fields of the WesternMaryland railroad, a high grade limestone (Lower Helder-berg) forms high cliffs near this city. Outlets for the Ore. There is no railroad in Pendletoncounty though a number of surveys have been made in thepast 20 or 30 years. There are several practical north andsouth routes for a railroad with easy grade. From Keyser,the New Creek valley can be followed back through Grantcounty passing through the New Creek Mountains by wayof Greenland, Cosner or Kline Gaps and following the Pat-terson
