5199 is an example of the Great Western railway (GWR) 5101 Class or 'Large Prairie' 2-6-2T steam locomotive. It was built at GWR’s Swindon Works in 1934 and scrapped in 1963. It has been in service at the Llangollen Railway since 2003.
